Berglind and Simon Scafer / der Warst
Simon and me have mutual friends in Berlin and had been in many parties together sometimes playing in the same once. He has the best laughter on earth and is super friendly nice person. Also a Taurus like me. I remember him playing naked with crazy videos in background. Playing music sounding lot like computer sound and noise and then I knew he was build modified audio and video instruments and on his last sets there was a new tone starting in his music that I liked very much. Hes also a member of the duo PARALLELWELPEN
Simon plays a lot with sound devices he builds him self and in out jam session he had brought with him some of his toys and it was very exciting to play with them. Most of our jam was instrumental. And most exciting for me was not really knowing what would happen next or what sound would build on to the other sound before. Some where in our long improvised jam session this song happened it sounded bit like a dub song. At the time I had been possessed with an R&B song with Ciara called Ride. And the main sentience came from there “they love they way I ride the beat” and then the rest was just improvised.
We recorded the whole thing life straight on tape and I did not want to lose the raw feeling of the improvised jam. All the sound that had build up and the feeling that was in the room. I really love making music straight like this with out any computers and just lot of fun toys and fun people around.
