Just dance – vocal remix over Elgar Chaso
Elgar Chaso originally realesed on album Unspoken World Tour By artist Jonas Ohlsson and Heimir Björgulfsson 2001
I first meet Jonas 2 years ago and we became friends
He soon became one of my favorite dj and I also feel in love with his often offbeat and very entertaining music performance as Blodfet & DJ Lonely. Especially when I would stop the music to tell a story in Swedish ore some other surprise. He send me some old tunes from other project and one of this was Elgar chaos taken from the Unspoken World Tour
He had done with artist Heimir Björgulfsson that I knew from Iceland as one of legendry Stilluppsteypa member.
I totally fell in love with the song and was playing around with it were I was staying in a small village in Iceland with my ghetto blaster
Soon I went to a residency in De-construct in New York with my son.
The song resonated even more with me there. It felt like the sounds and enviorment I was experience and also a new found excitement and joy I was feeling in my heart. And I just wanted to dance.
The recoding happened as one take in the first take in the residency were I was dancing and singing as in kind of a trance, feeling the song in a very tribal way and not sure were the sounds I was hearing were from the song it self ore the city outside. I was living outside a fire department. The recording felt perfect with me and I knew I wanted to name my album after this song.
Me and my son ended our residency with a final art show were I performed the song for the first time. Every one in audience freaked out and did an interpretive dance.
It was the best party ever!!!
It one of my favorite song to perform.
